DO NOT ADOPT FROM THIS PLACE!!!After driving over an hour just to view/ meet the kitten at a foster home and told that I could pick the animal the next day. I was told the next day that the kitten was given to another family. I am a stay at home mom that would be better able to care for kitten that the foster woman as she had a full time job and left kitten locked in an upstairs bedroom. It wasn't even able to leave that room to be "socialized". She had other large cats that she said doesn't do well with other cats. Really??? So the Forsyth Shelter deems her more suitable than myself?? Maybe someone should interview /inspect foster homes before TRUSTING them or their judgement of adopters.

AGAIN-- FIND ANOTHER SHELTER!!!!!!

We adopted our cat form here in Aug 2011. Greatest cat! She was a mama, and her kittens had all long been adopted. Thankfully this shelter stepped in and saved al of them from a kill shelter. Love that they keep the cats in rooms and not cages, love that it is no kill as well.

awful*awful***awful staff cervicr

a Group of workers doing a job on a house in my neighborhood, found a new born litter of kittens, according to the workers who found them the mom cat was dead, the workers, by order of the house owner for whom they were doing some yard work, she wanted all the kittens to be killed, I was able to save one of the kittens, the othet 3 were already dead,I took the newborn cat to the FCHS, as soon as the person working at the Window saw me, before I said anything, she said "no,no we are full" she didn't even wanted to hear the story, they basically shut the Window in my face, I just moved to this county and started donating to this foundation, But no, not anymore! I ended up taking the kitten to the animal shelter. I'm very disappointed, these people are supposed to be humane, I was at least expecting to get a suggestion, but the only thing that I get was a profound felling of sadness and disappointment...

It was a waste of time for me....

It was a waste of time for me. 2 phone calls with promise of return call. Never happened. Sent 4 e-mails, no response. I have talked to a vet and 3 other Forsyth County residents that experienced the same treatment. I know it's a difficult time and the Society is full but can't someone give a call to give whatever advice they might have? I am 75 and I don't know what I can do to find these 2 stray pups a home. No stars from me.
