Why Call Pitt? Bad Pricing/Worse Parts

I called Pitt Auto to order Ford engine parts and a power takeoff clutch for my chipper. I gave them the full particulars of my engine and the numbers from the inspection plate on my PTO. Despite giving them good information, they fumbled around a lot. They didn't seem to know what they were doing. They kept me putting me on hold, saying that they had to check one more thing. Anyway, after a very long time on the phone and talking with several people including a rude guy named "Bud", they finally quoted me the parts. Pitts prices were waaay high. But because I was working in the Pittsburgh area and needed them in a hurry , I went ahead and ordered the parts . When UPS delivered the parts, two out of the three were wrong. I then called my usual parts source back home and got the right parts. The power take off clutch? They didn't have it in stock. Said I would have to wait 60 days to get it. No big deal. I got it elsewhere. I was done with them anyway.
