DETAILS
General Info
Walk in the Footsteps of Legends Conveniently located just south of downtown Corpus Christi, Oso Beach Golf Course was designed in 1949 by John Bredemus, who was the co-founder of the Texas PGA and the Texas Open. Oso Beach was highly touted and became the venue for the â??World Championship Four-Ball Matchâ?? featuring the golf dream team of Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, and Jimmy Demaret. The course plays out over flat terrain, but the fairways are lined by trees and bunkers impact play throughout. Water is the main issue on the back, coming into play much more than on the front. The toughest hole is the 180-yard par 3 No. 13. Playing directly into the prevailing south wind, the tee shot over water can be intimidating. Call Us Now!

Conveniently located just south of downtown, Corpus Christi, Oso Beach Golf Course was originally designed by John Bredemus, co-founder of the Texas PGA and the Texas Open in 1949. The Corpus Christi Golf Association promoted the facility with its World Championship Four-Ball Match featuring the golf dream team of Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, and Jimmy Demaret. The course features 6,223 yards par 70 layout. This tree-lined course has water hazards coming into play on the back nine and bunkers in play throughout the entire course. While a very player friendly course the signature hole, number #13, is a strong test, a 180-yard (from the back tees), par 3, requiring a tee shot over water, directly into the prevailing wind, to the green. A chipping and putting area along with a bunker provides the perfect venue to practice those all-important, shot saving, shots around the greens. Lessons are available form our PGA professionals to help you enjoy the game more or help you introduce a new friend to the game.
