The Forestry and Parks Department is responsible for the maintenance of public recreational properties. The department is administered by the County Of Otsego in New York. It manages forest land and parks. The Forestry and Parks Department oversees more than 3,600 acres of county-owned forests. In addition, the county government operates a probation department that supervises probationers and holds them accountable for their illegal behavior. The department provides restitution and victim reparation services. It also offers opportunities for victims to voice their concerns through victim impact statements. The county government s department of social services administers a home energy assistance program.
