I onced worked in the Commack area and, until recently, hadn't been to the Spare Rib for a while. I stopped in for lunch and ordered from the Lunch Special Menu. For little more than the price of a fast food combo meal I had a very tasty French Dip sandwich that was a soft fresh roll stack high with sliced steak, a salad with creamy garlic dressing, cole slaw and thick crisp steak fries. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. The dining room is comfortable with framed prints of local historical photos. It's affordable and a solid value -- a great place to bring a large group or family. I can alway tell the good restaurants by the parking lot. The Spare Rib's is alway crowded.

The Spare Rib has the greatest ribs and bbq potatoes..they have nice lunch deals too. The only thing negative is that it can get very noisy here!

Food and Service is Excellent! Get there early - gets crowded.
