This place is an absolute joke. I really tried to give it a chance and I went a few times only because they have a large firearm selection. The prices are sometimes good on guns but WAY overpriced on knives, hunting gear, LE equipment etc. The employees are insanely disrespectful to the point that i'm baffled at the fact that most of them haven't been fired. Trying my best to keep my money local, I tried to buy a shotgun from them recently and after 2.5 hours in the store dealing with incompetent and uninformed employees I had to walk out. I would have walked out a lot sooner had the guy who initially ran my background check not disappeared with my drivers license for 25+ minutes. I will never be back and I have to advise anyone who plans on buying a gun there to plan on being there all day and pack a lunch. By the way when I was there it was not busy at all and there was an overabundance of employees working. I wish I could give it 0 stars. Good luck.

Failed to comply with federal law while refusing to sell firearm to someone with a Ohio residence and out of State ID whom thus fulfilled the legal requirements to purchase such item. This was a blatantly case of disrespect and disregarding with the law along with lack of decency and respect towards others.



Moreover, to make matters much worse this individuals made obnoxious derogatory insinuations about my person: such as indicating that I bought the house to flip, and thus would not live in Oh. I am engineer and really don't like lowlife forms whom I do not even know making pathetic insinuations about my person. What I do with my property is my my business, and my business only: it is called private property for a reason. I fulfilled all the legal requirements and pass any background check with flying stars. To aggravate matters even more, they made filled out forms and waste my time waiting for this ridiculous non-sense obnoxious situation. This lowlife form creature should try to play with individuals that belong to their low level and abject-objectionable standards.



This place is a bellwether of future litigations. The following is the relevant federal law on this subject:



"Federal regulations at 27 CFR 478.11 (definition of State of Residence), Example 2, clarify that a U.S. Citizen with homes in two States may, during the period of time the person actually resides in a particular State, purchase a firearm in that State. See also ATF Publication 5300.4 (2005), Question and Answer B12, page 179. Similarly, in ATF Ruling 80-21 (ATFB 1980-4, 25), ATF held that, during the time college students actually reside in a college dormitory or at an off- campus location, they are considered residents of the State where the on-campus or off- campus housing is located.

Out of State students who do not possess Ohio ID may have their legal rights and entitlements disrespected and disregard and thus should seek legal remedies.



Heinous disrespectful and discriminatory acts of this nature shall face the judicious consequences of a fully fledged legal litigation.

Over the past several years i have dropped a fair chunk of charge at Buckeye Outdoors but after today i will never cast my shadow on their door again! I don't expect any special treatment but i do expect to be

Well I couldn't give a no star, only reason there is a one star rating. My husband and I stopped in here today and I have to say it was a terrible experience. You are treated like a number and the staff could not care less about helping you. We wanted to see a 223 savage with a scope that was in the ad for $269 (didn't say what the regular price was) and when the guy brought the gun over for us to look at the price on the tag was $229. I said sweet it's on sale, he said "that doesn't look right" he went in the back and came back out with the tag changed to $299 when we asked about the original price tag he said to bad he wasn't selling the gun for the $229 price. We asked to speak with a manager a young guy came out to talk with us and "looked" into the issue, he came back ans said he would "honor" the price but without the scope. Not satisfied he brought out the manager who wouldn't listen to me. Just kept pointing at the ad in the paper telling me there were covered for "misprints" I tried to explain to him that it was not a misprint the gun was tagged that way. He still was not willing to work with us so off to Cabela's I went. At least there the staff is friendly, they price match other stores ans I get rewards for using their credit card so I am musch better off there! Thanks vances for reminding me why I shop there and not at your store.

Yes, you take a number and yes you sometimes wait. Why? Because the place is always busy. The sales folks take their time to help you with questions and know their products. I have made several purchases there and have never been disappointed.

It took me 40 years to find a place more annoying than the Bureau of Motor Vehicles but finally found it. Take a number and grab a good book. The typical gun store clerk attitude is off the charts here. My advice, find want you want out of Vances ad and take it to Gander Mtn. for the price match. Their customer service is much more pleasant also.
