Andy Chapin is the most honest and honorable auto mechanic you will ever meet. He goes out of his way to meet his clients' expectations and will refer you to someone else if he is unable to do the job (as opposed to taking your money and messing it up anyway).

Andrew Chapin is the most honest, hardworking, trustworthy mechanic...ever. He has been keeping my various vehicles running for nearly 30 years. He will tell you what needs to be fixed, no more - no less. He charges VERY reasonable prices and will stand behind his work. I don't know what I'd do without him!!

Started using Andy when I was young and had an import. Twenty plus year's later it is the only place to take any of the family cars. I figure he has saved me thousands over the years from avoiding the dealerships.

I have recently bought a used car and shopped around for a new mechanic to check it (my old mechanic, though quite good, was probably hit by the recession and started overcharging me). I tried two other garages and they both charged me for the 'diagnostic' (the upper radiator pipe was leaking, it cost me $40 to find that out!). One of them tried to convince me to preventively change the timing belt, water pump, valve cover gaskets and a few other things, for a grand total of over $1500 (that for a car that had cost $3500 and that I am only using for shopping and errands!). Andy Chapin was nothing like that. We actually had to schedule an appointment for the diagnostic, because he is so busy - I guess other people also found out that he is a very professional mechanic who doesn't overcharge! But there was no charge for the diagnostic, he put the car up , called me in and showed me what needed to be replaced and why, asked me if I wanted to order the parts online because it is cheaper,

I have been going to Andy since I was in college. I totally and completely have the utmost of confidence and trust in Andy! He always gives me all my options up front and will tell me how to save money. He will also advise against doing something. He is an incredibly hard worker!

Chapin's Auto Service came highly recommended to me by a close friend who said he was honest, so I took my new Envoy to him to investigate a "Check Engine" sensor that was light. Andy ran a FREE diagnostic on the car (all other shops I called wanted to charge me $85) and then said that no repair was needed. He didn't change me one penny for his time. It's nice to finally find a truly honest mechanic in this city. I will definitely be back for any and all future repairs.

I was 21 years old when I first went to Chapin's. I was scared and dirt poor. He eased my fear and offered me a more than fair price. Now, I am 38 and have very precious cargo inside my Honda Odyssey (2 kids and hubby). It has been about 5 years since I have had a car repair but I am thrilled to still be able to find Andy. Honda wanted $1,250 and Andy's cost $525. Andy told me it was not necessary to replace the water tank yet, but I said go ahead. It is not very often you find a really good hearted person and Andy is one of them. I trust him with my most precious cargo!

Andy Chapin is honest and charges a fair price. The only mechanic who has ever advised me that I am not in need of service if I am not. Or don't need brake pads just yet. I wouldn't use anyone else, at this point.

Does a lot of work on imports and he is really good! Always on time and never costs more than what he quotes you. We drop off our car night before and usually get a call by 7:30 am (he comes in at 6 am). Would definitely recommend this shop.
