      The telephone number listed under the whitepages site does not exist when dialed. The auto voice kicks in and gives another number that does not work.

      Established in Virginia in 1926, Appalachian Power Company (APCo) engages in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power. It serves approximately 959,000 retail customers in the southwestern portion of Virginia and southern West Virginia. The company also supplies and markets electric power at wholesale to other electric utility companies, municipalities and other market participants. With a staff of over 2,577 employees, the firm serves a wide range of industries, including paper, rubber, coal mining, textile mill, stone, clay and glass products. Appalachian Power Company is a public utility subsidiary of American Electric Power Co. Inc. and is a member of PJM Interconnection, LLC.
