After reading the older, less-than-decent reviews, I decided I would share my experience. We've been going to the CDC for about a year and have had a very positive experience. The focus has consistently been helping my child and using multiple methods and treatments. I have no hesitation in recommending them! Regarding billing, no troubles there either. We were approved for a certain number of visits, they took care of asking for additional visits for us. We also know that our plan only allows a certain number each year and they explain what a "cash-pay" visit would cost when we run out of covered visits for the year.

I wish I could give half stars. I really rank this place a 2 1/2 stars. The Therapists are excellent. They helped my child and were very attentive. As for their insurance/billing people....there are huge problems. What "allotherstoo" reporting about the billing department is true. My child visited this facility from January 2013 - October 2013. Billing was still being submitted to my insurance as of January 2014 for sessions that occurred in July of 2013. I have the reports from my insurance to prove it. With us, typically, they didn't submit claims to insurance until 2, 3, even 4 months after the therapy session. When they have an issue with insurance, they don't notify you or anything. Also, when insurance gives them guidelines and a # of sessions that will be covered...they don't notify the patient...they didn't with us. Even though they told us our insurance pre-approved the theraphy in full....we didn't find out until months later that they only pre-approved a certain # of sessions. We were then stuck with a huge bill. After complaining with the billing department, and saw it would get me nothing, I just paid it and washed my hands of them. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this place...just because of their shady billing practices. There are better places to go that won't cause you financial headaches.

Focus is on quantity not quali...

Focus is on quantity not quality of care. Therapists are constantly late and often irritated with the very children they provide therapy for. Insurance claims are not submitted on time or followed up by the center, then they come to you for payment that should have been paid by the insurance had they bothered to call and follow up on their claims.

10-4-12 This review by “allotherstoo” was recently brought to my attention. As a founding Director and treating Physical Therapist at the Child Development Center, I certainly was concerned when I read this review. We strive to be on time with our treatments and sincerely enjoy and care about the children we work with. Our Billing department submits claims timely and follows up with our patient’s insurance companies. Denials, authorizations, and benefit questions are addressed immediately when brought to our attention. Our billing department then communicates directly and meets with families concerning billing issues. Having been in business for 24 years, we obviously are doing something right. We care deeply for the children and families we work with and make a special effort to encourage and maintain communications between parents and all staff. We wish you and your family the best and hope you are well. Please call me if you wish to discuss this personally. I would encourage anyone reading this review that has questions to call either one of our directors, Banba Swicker-Lipton, PT, or Tami Lamphere, OTR, or visit our website at www.cdcrehab.com.
