Covington is an authorized distributor of Detroit Diesel, Mercedes Benz and MTU Engines, Allison Transmissions, MTU - Onsite Energy Generators and Muncie Power Products. As such, we are responsible for providing products, parts and service coverage in North Carolina, Tennessee and North Georgia. In an effort to provide prompt service to our customers, we maintain an extensive inventory of parts. Our wide range of engine product offerings insures the right power for on-highway and off-highway applications. Our complete line of MTU - Onsite Energy Generators provide stand-by power from 30kW to 3, 250kW. Critical emergency generator service is provided by our fleet of fully equipped service trucks. From a modest beginning in Greensboro in 1965 with 14 authorized dealers, Covington has grown in the Tennessee / North Carolina area to more than 100 authorized dealers. Additionally, in order to properly service our customers, we have parts / service locations in Greensboro, Charlotte, New Bern, Wilmington, and Beaufort within North Carolina; Nashville, Knoxville, and Kingsport in Tennessee; and Ringgold in Georgia. These nine (9) full service locations can be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
