Established in 2003, Dickenson Community Hospital is a more than 25-bed, nonprofit critical-access hospital owned by Norton Community Hospital. It offers various services, such as 24-hour emergency care, 3-D ultrasound, bone densitometry, CT scan, diabetes education, geriatric care and Holter monitoring. It additionally provides an intensive care unit, laboratory services a more than 25-bed medical and surgical unit, telemetry, radiology and respiratory services and speech, occupational and physical therapies. Dickenson Community Hospital has the capabilities to offer a combination of services geared toward women's health. Bone density tests are performed to detect the likelihood that an individual is at risk for osteoporosis. Dickenson Community Hospital is located in Clintwood, Va.
