This is the most unprofessional staffing company I have ever seen. These people have no idea what they are doing. They will call you and waste your time with interviews and tests and in the end tell you that they dont have a job for you. They use people just to practice on them. No wonder they barely have any jobs listed on their site. No one wants to deal withthese people!

I was out of work for a long time, until I was surprised to hear a voicemail from JoAnn Wiegand telling me she had a position available for me. It was a metals warehouse that stored raw aluminum, aluminium alloys, zinc and lead. The warehouse is nationwide and stores non precious metals for the London Stock Exchange. Who wouldn't want $700/week and be part of such a great enterprise?.. Well I noticed immediately that they openly ask you in front of everybody, if you have a criminal record and what's on it. I was filling out paperwork when I heard the receptionist ask about someone's record. I was then humiliated when I was made fun of for having a DUI 7 years ago. Never the less I needed the job and it sounded good. I was hired on as a forklift driver (which costs you $80 by the way) yet I wasn't put on a forklift until 4 days later. There was a big bully type of character that threatened me with violence, despite him not being the best forklift driver either. I noticed I was having dizzy spells, bouts of confusion and a shocking spasm type of feeling throughout my body. I wasn't told that I would be in a lead dust contaminated environment, but once I started I knew that all the workers were being exposed. I mentioned it to a couple. I also noticed that all the workers had some sort of criminal record, which gives Express Employment tax breaks, as do they get tax breaks for welfare recipients. I'm actually supportive of giving people a second chance, but don't send them into a place to slowly die from lead exposure, then fire them when they complain. MIOSHA just did an investigation of the job site and found multiple dangers. I have $8000 in medical bills and lost wages. I would tell Express Employment Professionals to check out their partners better, but I suspect people like JoAnn don't really care about employee safety. I would reccomend to any job seekers that they stay away, or demand that they be put on a site that isn't going to kill them slowly over time. Lead is dangerous to small kids, pregnant women, and everyone in general. I'm amazed such a large company could pretend not to know, especially when the trucks leaving with lead, had to have their flat beds covered to prevent lead dust from flying everywhere. They knew, they were putting their employees in danger. They just don't care.

Do not waste your time here. I couldnt agree more with the last review. My words exact. Pretty much the same experience. I was told full time and 10 an hr. Thank god I didnt quit my previous job because upon my arrival,every employee to the compqny said i may only see 20 hrs a week! Even the supervisors. When i confronted the blonde woman at express; the manager/owner i believe, she was completely rude and said "i'm your boss you listen to me, i can get someone in your position in a heartbeat" i have alot of bills ans would not risk her word over the companys. then she said "i had someone there for 5 months." Ummmm. last i checked 5 month jobs are not full time jobs. This was an awful experience. I advise no one to waste there time. Ive written the news about this place and hope someone takes notice to such a poor company and horrible manager. One day karma will proceed.

I was very impressed when I first went to Express. Though some of the workers didn't seem very friendly, they found me a job right away. However, after only working a week at the assigned job, I couldn't work there anymore. The people were very rude and felt the need to constantly let me know they were above me. A couple of people (not even in my department) felt the need to correct me on anything they could possibly think of (down to how to stack a box). I was unhappy with the job and called Express to let them know. My temp agent (Stacy) was extremely rude on the phone and couldn't believe I didn't want the job. She told me to leave and not to come back. I was in disbelief I couldn't believe that she was mad at me. It wasn't my fault it didn't work out. The job just wasn't a good fit for me. After this, she refused to help me find another job, and stopped talking to me all together. To make matters worse. I had quit a job I already had because she told me she would keep me working. Now I have been unemployed for two weeks. I would strongly suggest to anyone looking for a temp agency not to report to Express!!! They don't care about their job seekers, only themselves and their numbers.
