I have taken my cars here to be serviced many times for a variety of reasons. The service has always been outstanding. I'm paranoid so I always run the service estimates by my close friends who are former professional mechanics. Urban's prices are always appropriate or better. The bottom line is Matt and his team are trustworthy, affordable, and good at what they do

Very crooked

I was referred to Urban back in 2007. (Let me say this first. At the time I was 25 with an infant child. I get very paranoid when I hear ANY NOISE coming from my car. Matt knew that and he played on it. Every time I thought something was wrong with it I would take it to him and he would give me some cause and effect horror story like if u don't fix this then that is gonna happen. I was left on the bus plenty of times because of repairs he said it needed. The last time he said I needed a rack and pinion steering or I was gonna lose control of my steering and crash on the freeway. Of course I listened and left the car again. They tried to convince me that it needed to be junked and they would take it off my hands for $250. I went home and got the title. The deal was almost done but at the last minute I backed out and decided to keep "Big Red" (my red Ford Taurus) A week went by and I decided to take another mechanic. When I got there my car was gone. When I asked where it was they told me another mech went to get a tire for my car. I waited for 15mins when he pulled up he had a cigarette in his mouth and I'm not a smoker. He also didn't have a tire in the car. So they were using my supposedly non drivable car for their own personal errands. Finally the mech I brought with me looked at my car and told me nothing at all was wrong with it. September 2007 I drove my car off of the Urban's lot and never looked back. I never had to get the rack and pinion steering fixed from the time I drove it off the Urban lot til I traded it in for another car in Feb 09. An insider there also told me stories about some of the things he would do just to cheat people out of money. Leaving out fuses, loosening wires and spark plugs. Matt also had the nerve to try to argue with me when I took my car. I would never refer this place to anyone.

Took Care of Me

I had a very different experience than you two had at Urban. My car was not running right, and Matt went out of his way to make sure it was fixed right. He even called a bunch of places to make sure that he could get parts for me and get me back on the road in one day, instead of waiting another day to get my parts in. There were a lot of cars there that they were working on, and I still got great service. Hopefully others get the same great service that I had.

Urban's Auto Ctr NO GOOD, I 2ND THAT!

I took my car here because that is where my warranty would pay, and as a non paying customer it still was a horrible experience. They got my car and told me they would fix a lot of things such as the wheel bearings, wheel wlignment, brakes, etc. They said they needed to keep it 2 days because they need a part, they end up keeping it a week. They said others things went wrong with it then when i got it back it still was making the same noise. They are going to fix it again , and they are also very unprofessional, they said they would call me and they never call, you have to keep calling them. Do not go there!

I took my car to this place because it shut off on me. After having my car for 2 weeks they finally gave me some answers on what was wrong with my car. After claiming my car to be fixed, I pulled off the lot to headed home. And not even 13 minute to the second, my car shut off again. I had the car towed back there and they finally said ""OH you need a new engine"" I GUESS!!! That took another TWO weeks. Finally after getting my car back, my sterring wheel was off balance my car made a hissing noise ever time you turned it on. I had the car for 3 weeks, and it shut off again. This company will no longer ever recieve my business again! Please double think before going here. I really would like to save you the massive drama!
