My brakelines went out on my 96 Lumina February 10, 2009. The car was undriveable and was towed to Integrity Chevrolet. They told me Chevrolet no longer makes those brakelines, new ones would have to be specially manufactured and cost $900 for just the lines. (After further research I discovered that all brakelines are standard except for the bends and turns) The total bill would be approximately $1,500. I couldn't shop for a better price since the car was inoperable. My actual bill was $1,979.18!!! Chevrolet's main office in Detroit said there's nothing I can do but pay it! AND CHEVY WONDERS WHY NO ONE BUYS AMERICAN CARS
