I purchased five windows from Affordable. I had an appt. with Brett to remeasure the windows for installation a week ago. The original salesperson I dealt with no longer works for the company. Brett comes by, measures the windows and we agree to have installation done on this coming Monday. He was supposed to call Monday around 2-2:30pm to let me know when the installers were coming. I called Affordable's office at 3pm only to find out that I was not on their schedule. The receptionist suggested I call Brett directly. When I called to inquire when the installers were coming, he was abrupt. He said they were on their way over to the property and told me I had to pay them upfront. I was surprised because he never mentioned paying upfront when he came to give me the estimate. I told him I would pay the installers after they installed the windows (which is normal business practice). Then, he told me I should be glad he scraped these guys together to do my installation (very unprofessional). His attitude was harsh and uncalled for. Then he mentioned not having a contract to install the windows. Any professional contractor would write up a bill of sale for labor to install the windows (no brainer). Then, he hung up on me.



During the conversation, he made it seem like I didn't want to pay the installers (like he was putting on an act for someone). He probably didn't want to send them anyway. Sad he has a bad attitude. He doesn't deserve my business. Be forewarned! He is a bad business person. Any contractor who wants to be paid upfront in full before they do the work is probably a shady character, has money or drug problems. Stay away from Affordable.
