We were a group of first time rafters:all senior citizens.our raft attempted a level 4 rapid in the first 1/2hour and we were all thrown out with the raft on top of us:bumps and bruises abound.we should never have been challenged in this way.later on down the chatooga,we hit a rock and my husband was thrown out of the raft.as beginners we never expected this level of challenge.our guide did the very best that he could. The walk out was terrible: a 1/2 mile trek up steep path carrying rafting equipment because the guide couldn't carry all if it himself. Knowing what challenges faced us because of the lower river levels, we should have been discouraged from making this trip and refunded our fees.

Dissappointed
