This was a nightmare trip to get my brakes completed. First the owner/manager told me he would call me with a quote for the cost within 30 minutes, which didn't occur. I had to call after it had been an hour. The $331 quote was given and I asked how many millimeters the back brakes had left as I was told it was only the front pads that needed to be changed from my last inspection the month before as I was buying the car. He replayed, "I have never heard a lady use the word millimeters." I remained calm, but this put up a red flag of sexual discrimination for me. He said give them 2 hours to get the brakes done. It ended up taking them over 5 hours (not including the return visits or waiting for the quote) to finish my brakes. I came back and was talking to the tech who was working on my car when the owner/manage stepped outside. The tech was backing my car and was struggling due to a tight fit in the space available and the owner stated, "Do you need a white guy to do that." The tech didn't hear and so the owner repeated the statement again and could clearly see me standing right there next to my car when he made this racist comment to his black male employee. I said to him, "First sexist now racist, better watch it." He made a comment, "What happened to your neck" and laughed. I had had cupping done (a Traditional Chinese Medicine healing technique) and he stated this as if to insult me as it might have appeared I had a bruise or a hickey (none of which would be any of his business). I corrected his ignorance in this healing tradition area and gave him my business card in case he needed some cupping done himself. I wish the story ended there, but sadly it does not. I paid the cost and left getting only a few blocks down the road before my brakes were making a high pitch sound from the vacuum plate being off center. I had to return again, and they did take care of the issue quickly. The next morning I get a text from my bank alerting me that my bank account over drafted. This ended up being due to Brakeway charging me twice for the $331 cost of the brake repair. I once again had to go back to a place of business that was highly inappropriate, racist, and sexist. I called another location asking to talk to the main owners of the franchise and was told they would call me. This was on September 2nd and still no call. The owner did refund my money and was open to hearing my feedback as a fellow business owner that the comments he stated to me and his employee were not welcome and are illegal. He handed me a $50 out of his personal wallet as if to make it better. While I did take the $50 as a consulting fee on how to run a business, I will never return to that Brakeway location again.

Just had brakes replaced 5 days ago. On a short trip now & brakes are sticking very badly, smoking at one point. I'm gonna have to replace pads & 2 rotors because I'm out of state & nowhere near any of their locations.They were supposed to flush & fill the brake fluid & apparently didn't. Won't be going back to them again!!

Terrible rude front desk help..was very horrible with answering my questions about my car.. Want be going back ever again!!! Stay away from the Clarksville indiana location store!!!
