- Sex CrimesThe EGVAP enables the Mississippi Legal Services Programs to address the growing demand for legal assistance to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The project will provide free legal services to the victims and include: Domestic Abuse Protection Orders. Divorces. Custody. Housing. Victims Compensation. and other civil legal matters. There are no income requirements to be eligible for services under this project.
- Estate PlanningPrepares written educational materials and brochures to distribute to the community at outreaches and online concerning important estate planning, consumer law, and other elder law topics;
- Wills
- Power of AttorneyStudents enrolled in the Elder Law Clinic work to enhance, protect, and preserve the autonomy of older persons through legal advocacy. Students provide a number of services to their clients, including drafting wills, advance health care directives, and powers of attorney; advising clients on Medicaid, Medicare, nursing home law, consumer issues, and elder abuse; and representing clients in administrative hearings and in court.

- ForeclosureRepresents clients in a wide variety of civil legal matters, including real property matters, divorce, mortgage modifications, foreclosure prevention, adoption, and public benefit appeals;
- Tax LawThe Mississippi Taxpayer Assistance Project (MTAP) is a project of North Mississippi Rural Legal Services (NMRLS), and provides assistance to low income and English as a Second Language (ESL) taxpayers throughout Mississippi. It provides low income taxpayers with free legal assistance on federal and some state tax matters.
