General Info

Robert Shields, DPM, is a graduate of the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a three-year surgical residency at The Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati-Mercy Health where he served as chief resident. As a surgeon, Dr. Shields is experienced in elective forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, ankle arthroplasty, diabetic limb salvage and wound care. He believes in a comprehensive, patient-centered approach, allowing for a personalized treatment plan. His ultimate goal is to return patients to their normal, active daily lifestyle using both conservative and surgical treatment. A Northern Kentucky native, Dr. Shields enjoys spending time with his wife and son and following college sports.
