- Child SupportDo you want to find out if a modification of your current child support order is possible? The attorneys at Bailey & Gunderson, with offices in Norwood, Western Hills and Anderson Township, can help. If you should have any questions, please call us at 513-631-0022.
- Child Custody and VisitationThe simplest procedure to modify a child custody order is if both parents consent to the modification. The best practice is to commit the agreement between the parents to a signed consent agreement, and file the agreement with the Domestic Relations Court that has jurisdiction over the child.

Whether you are seeking a private adoption or a stepparent adoption, our lawyers will help with the home study process and take the appropriate steps in probate court to facilitate this process. - PaternityOur family law practice involves much more than divorce. We frequently help clients seek modifications to their child custody and visitation arrangements in the years after a divorce. In addition, we assist in paternity matters, grandparents' rights issues, relocation and other legal issues that may be affecting your family.
- Premarital AgreementA marriage automatically creates dower rights in real estate owned by a spouse. A prenuptial agreement most likely will not be effective in waiving dowers rights after marriage.
- GuardianshipA guardianship is a legal relationship ordered by a Probate Court where one person has the legal authority and duty to care for another's person or property due to the other person's minority, incapacity, or disability. The person who is incapacitated, disabled, or a minor is called the "ward." The person who is appointed by the Probate Court to be responsible for the ward's person or property is called the "guardian."
- Spousal SupportAn important consideration is that your monthly expenses will increase. This issue is helped somewhat in the lower income earning spouse by an award of spousal support. However, we advise clients not to focus so much on their prior lifestyle at the expense of their future financial security. It's wise to re-evaluate your goals and financial needs before and during a divorce action.

- WillsYou may be nominated to serve as the executor of a person’s estate who has passed away pursuant to their Last Will & Testament. However, you have no authority to act as the executor until you file an application with the County Probate Court in which the decedent last resided to be appointed as the executor of his/her estate. Once your application has been approved by the County Probate Court, then and only then do you have authority and responsibilities as the executor of the estate.
- TrustsTrust for their benefit while they are living, and upon the death of both spouses, their children become the beneficiaries of the Living Trust. A Living Trust may help to avoid probate, can help (in some instances) to minimize taxes, and can maintain assets for a period of time until a beneficiary reaches a certain age.
- Power of AttorneyPower of Attorney - A Power of Attorney permits the agent (known as the attorney-in-fact) for the principal (the person granting the power of attorney) to act on behalf of the principal in business and personal transactions. This instrument cannot be used to make medical decisions. A general power of attorney is normally broad in nature. Typical powers granted are the right to execute, modify and terminate contracts; to buy, sell or transfer real or personal property; to adjust, compromise and settle claims; and to conduct and carry on the business affairs of the principal. Most general powers of attorney are revocable (meaning they can be canceled by the principal). The principal can revoke the power given to the attorney-in-fact by delivery of a written document which gives notice of the revocation of the power of attorney.
