He provides the latest techniques and modalities available in the field of interventional pain management, using state of the art minimally invasive techniques, which utilize percutaneous treatment including effective needle and probe techniques which minimize patient discomfort while avoiding many surgical and anesthetic risks and expenses. His areas of technical expertise include and not limited to spinal cord stimulaton, peripheral nerve stimulaton, cervical and lumbar discography, percutaneous disc decompression, intrathecal pumps, vertebroplasty, facet blocks, nerve blocks, and joint injections. Ahmed Elborno, M.D is the director of Advanced Chicago Pain and Spine Physician Centers/ Midwest Academy of Pain and Spine. He is the director of the Pain Management Center of Excellence at Hinsdale Hospital, and he is Medical Director/Anesthesiologist at Advanced Ambulatory Surgical Center in Chicago.
