The Custom House Group of Companies ( "Custom House" ) was originally established in Ireland in 1989, offering a wide variety of financial services to its clients. After several metamorphoses, the group has now developed into a global hedge fund administration organisation. The parent company of Custom House Group is based in Malta with subsidiary companies offering a full administration service in Chicago, Dublin, Luxembourg and Singapore. It can also provide trustee and administrative services to SPVs, SIVs and trusts. Equity Trust, with its broad global reach has an incomparable breadth and depth of both local knowledge and international expertise in its field, which complements the services offered by Custom House.As a result of the merger, CHGFS is, in effect, a joint venture between Equity Trust ( who now own just over 50% of CHGFS ) and the management of Custom House.The opportunities for increasing the range of services that can now be offered by the whole Equity Trust group, including Equity Trust's normal trust and related business and Custom House's fund administration services is a very positive opportunity for the whole group, which now has over 1250 employees, operating through offices in 34 different jurisdictions - Custom House has brought with it offices in Dublin, Malta, Singapore and Chicago and Equity Trust has brought into Custom House administration offices in Guernsey, Luxembourg and the Netherland.Custom House, which will continue to operate as an autonomous group, is delighted to be a member of the Equity Trust Group of Companies.Custom House offers a 24/5 global hedge fund administration service through its expanded, fully integrated network of offices in Chicago, Dublin, Guernsey, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands and Singapore.Custom House has several complimentary businesses. The primary business is the provision of a full administration service to alternative investment and hedge funds. The complimentary businesses include, inter alia, the provision of Corporate Secretarial and Director services as well as acting as a licensed Custodian of Funds of Funds in Malta and similarly in the Netherlands, where Custom House offers Bewaarder services to local Dutch fund clients.
