      The Health Department of Laramie County, Wyo., offers a range of medical care- programs. It provides day and school care services and monitors the quality of food and drinking water. The department conducts rural property evaluations and inspects mobile home parks. It also offers educational services on topics related to the correct use, effectiveness, side effects, possible dangers, and advantages and disadvantages of contraceptive methods. The department provides financial assistance, counseling, prenatal care, and drug and alcohol abuse prevention services. The Health Department also conducts tests for the detection of breast cancer, pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. The department provides nursing services to prevent the spread of diseases and occurrence of injuries, as well as promotes the development of healthy lifestyles.
