Cheyenne Water and Sewer Department is part of the board of public utilities. It obtains water from various sources, including the Douglas Creek System Stage, Crow Creek and groundwater. The department recycles water produced at Cheyenne's Crow Creek water reclamation facility, through advanced treatment, filtering and disinfection. It provides water service to homes and businesses in Cheyenne, and offers construction and maintenance of water collection structures, treatment of water, and maintenance of the distribution system in the city. Cheyenne Water and Sewer Department produces recycled water, which is used to irrigate parks, athletic fields and greenways in the central and eastern parts of the city. The department is headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyo.
