Uptown Charlotte Restaurants 704-909-6295

We were huge fans of Max's Alley, another local restaurant owned by the Dresslers that recently closed, so we decided to give their Metropolitan location a try for a recent special occasion (party of 6). The food and decor were both exceptional, as we expected, but we were disappointed to find that the menu was so seafood-heavy (50%+) and did not offer any child-friendly options (and no separate children's menu). We were able to order an off-menu grilled breast of chicken with mashed potatoes, but it would have been nice to have more than one option that appealed to our 10 yr old. It was also disapointing that there weren't any entree salads for the dieters and light eaters with us. Still, we found the classic (ceasar) and G's salads to be superb. The salmon & filet were nearly perfect. And the newly offered Apple Cake is not to be missed. We will definitely be back for live music on the divine patio at some point also.
