The UUCC is a warm and welcoming faith community, open to all. Our members come from all walks of life and religious backgrounds, exhibiting a diversity that we celebrate and embrace. UUs are free-thinkers, as rational as they are deeply spiritual. It's a faith grounded in civic action, social justice and progressivism ? it's focus not on salvation in the hereafter, but on making the world we all share a better place for all. This is what appeals most to me and why it has become my chosen faith. The Rev. Jay Leach, Sr. Minister is a gifted orator, a deeply compassionate soul and the spiritual anchor of our community. His sermons are thoughtful, inspiring, sometimes controversial but never boring. The music program led by John Herrick is outstanding and in my opinion provides the life force of our services. And our Open Door school and extensive religious education program help to prepare our children and youth for a lifetime of principled spiritual and ethical growth.
