      Nucor Corporation, headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., is one of the leading producers of steel in the United States. The products offered by the company include carbon and alloy steel in bars, beams, galvanized sheets, plates, screws, nuts and bolts, steel joists and joist girders. The company also offers hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel, metal signposts and barriers, angles, channels, sheet pilings, billets, blooms, beam blanks and rail ties. It provides light-gauge steel and floor framing, steel fabrication and metal building systems for residential and commercial constructions. Daniel R. DiMicco has been the chief executive officer of Nucor for more than six years. He has been with the materials company for over 24 years. DiMicco earned a BS degree from Brown University, and a MS from the University of Pennsylvania. Nucor Corporation operates more than 18 steel production facilities, including bar, sheet, structural and plate mills located throughout the United States.
