I was referred to this office by a friend. The wait time was great! I was impressed that the questionnaire was done on a tablet as opposed to being on paper. The doctor knew what was going on and was very prepared. I will definitely recommend her to all people that are looking for a good doctor!!!

I wont go back

this is the worst health office i have gone to ever. the first visit I had started off bad cause this one patient was fighting with the lady at the front desk, then i waited in the waiting room for 2 hours. while i waited the radio was scratchy and people were complaining that they been waiting to long. after they put me in a exam room, i still waited 2 more hours. the whole time i was in the exam room i could hear ms.gaffney laughing and talking to people on the phone. she had people on the speaker phone talking about other patient's healthcare. iheard her give orders to her nurse about one person and she refused to refill their medicine because they missed a appointment.
finally a 'nurse' came to get me for blood pressure and weigh ne. i almost left because ms gaffney was eating at her work area instead of seeing patients..but i waited because i was already there nearly 4 hours. after that they took blood and put me back inot a waiting room. finally ms. gaffney came to see me. she seemed like she was very knowlegable but in a hurry,, she saw me with the door open. it made me uncomfortable even if she did seem to know alot about my condition.
but i went back again anyway the next week because she did blood work, and they made me come in for the results. this time i waite for a hour in the waiting room, the radio speaker was sstill messed up, then i finall got to a room. once again she was 'doctoring' in the hallway, very loudly. after they got my blood pressure i waited in a room for another 90 minites. she finally spent a whole 3 minutes with me at her work station in the hallway, she said i needed a presciption and said she had just sent it in, i got to the pharmacy and they did not have a presciotion ready form me, it took a week fo get my medicine called in.
a few tips for her
1. wear close toe shoes, flip flops look unsanitary
2. treat your patients with some respect
3. shut the door so you patients don't know your ignoring them
4.fix the speaker in you lobby
5. stop doing your job in the hallway

Absoutely OUTRAGED!!!

The only thing about this ""Dr.s"" office that was even remotely presentable was the inside of the faciity. The bed sad service is horrible. The nurses try but without leadership...how can you blame them. My sister and I took our children here last week to be seen as well as my sister having an appointment, we were all thrown into a room together, blood work was taking and we still have no clue as to when they will be back. My sister was told ""I'm rushed up, reschedule"" after she was already fitted in to began with. When we were asking questions we got ""yelled"" at. It was horrible and I was OUTRAGED at such actions. There is no organization AT ALL what so ever, no bed side manner. Just horrible. The wait is ridiculous...hours. If you make an appointment here clear your days schedule. Ms. Gaffeney herself dresses totally inappropriate while her staff looks A1 the part. She took a call while we were being seen. I will not be returning there.

The worst and most unsanitary office!!!!!!!!

This office is disorganized, the staff up front is rude and cant ever seem to get a patients name right. I had to weigh my own son because the ""nurse"" couldnt read the scale or his height, they tried to put a dirty thermometer in his mouth, and I was told that to get a refill for a medication.. that my son has been onfor years... that my son had to see the doctor and evaluate him, BUT the doctor never came, waited for 2 hours and after waiting in the exam room hallway, I was told to go upfront and waited some more. I believe strongly that they do this to bill insurance companies!!!! Being in the medical field myself I would NEVER, EVER rccomend this place. Especially for children. Oh and dont be surprised if you see used syringes from a previous patient and bloody cotton balls sitting in your exam room. FYI, there are no sinks in their exam rooms.. That I ever saw.... Yuck we have switched to another doctor. Thank God!!

Quick appointments

I love these people. They have never pushed products or services that were not needed. Appointments have always been made in under a week. The doc has made sure I knew what was going on and what I had to do to make my health the best. I feel good that I can completely trust this group.

I agree with all the positive post. This Doctor is really personable and at the same time amazing expertise. I have always thought about that when I go in to see them and after this last time (I went in for the Flu) I felt so well taken care of I just had to come on and let everyone know what a great job they are doing. Keep up the good work.

Great Diagnostic/Treatment Services

My girlfriend had been complaining for a while about my LOUD snoring habit. Since I'd never had a roommate or anything, I didn't know it was that bad, or that consistent until one night she recorded me snoring. She was worried I might have sleep apnea, and I was worried that she might start spiking my drinks with caffeine so that she could get some rest. I went to Gaffney Health Services because I had heard about their great diagnostic services. Everyone was friendly, and really listened to my concerns. They signed me up for a night in an in-office sleep apnea testing bed. They got back to me really quickly - I did indeed have have sleep apnea. They offered me multiple treatment options, and were really good at figuring out what would be best for me. Gaffney made a potentially scary situation easy to deal with. I trust them entirely, and I will definitely be returning in the future.

I Like Knowing I Can Depend on Them

I'm the kinda guy that gets sick when the weather rapidly changes, so I've been kinda sick as of late. Fortunately, I know I have Gaffney to depend on. For every blocked sinus (or sinus infection) and queasy stomach they have what I need. Whether it's treatment or just advice, at least advice that expands beyond ""Don't be such a wuss,"" they truly care about my health and work hard to get me better.

Stay Away Gaffney Health Svc

I am new to the area and must admit, I am hard on Dr.s; it's an interview w/questions, don't want to wait forever and if I do, your appearance shouldn't make me feel like I should be thankful that you showed. I had 4 appts at this office and had it not been for a pinched nerve, I would have stopped at the second.

This office is everything wrong with a practice. I got asked repeatedly to participate in some allergy therapy. No matter how many times I said no, they just kept going. When they finally got the message, I was told to go back out to the waiting room. Dr. Gaffney breezed by and asked if I was on her list for today. I said I was unsure and stated part of the reason for my visit. She diagnosed me in the hallway! Not even the courtesy of a room!

First of all I would like to say I appreciated the fact that Dr. Gaffney and her staff were always very cordial. But unfortunately that's where the praises end. I wish I could rate her facility higher, but the facts don't lie. I was also referred by Tricare. My son was her patient for over a year now and in 4 appointments, we have WAITED A MINIMUM OF 3 HRS plus ON EACH OF THE 4 VISITS (mind you this is with an appt). When I inquired with the staff as to what was taking so long, no one had an answer. So after waiting over 4 hours on his last visit and he still hadn't see Dr. Gaffney, I left and advised them that would be his last visit. A couple days later I received a call from her Offc Mgr (Mr. Jones, I think) and he apologized and assured me that this was not the standard and he'd see to it that my next experience would be much better. Although I do believe he was very sincere and apologetic, the damage had already been done. I sincerly hope that Dr. Gaffney and her staff review the constructive criticism and improve on their customer service and treating their patients better. I do think they can improve but it needs to be sooner, rather than later.

I was referred to Dr Gaffney from Tricare. I read these reviews before my first appointment and so I was extremely skeptical. I decided to give Gaffney Health Services a chance anyways. The first time I went there their Air Conditioning was not working at it was at least between 75-80 degrees in the entire building. They insisted that they draw blood since I was a new patient instead of requesting my medical record from my previous Dr., while in the lab I smelled a strong urine smell and looks to my left and there were several containers of open urine cups, While the nurse was drawing blood it was so hot I became lighthead and almost passed out. The nurse was reluctant to pull the needle out of my arm because she said my veins are so hard to find. There is only one nurse(Donna) who seems to know what she's doing in the whole office and she came in and immediately asked me if I could be pregnant, I told her I didn't know but my husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while now, the lady who took my blood looked at me funny and said ""I don't feel it, I can sense these things and I don't think you're pregnant"" The pregnancy test was negative but I did not appreciate the comment. Long story short I left disgusted, disappointed, and without even having my blood pressure or weight taken. the next week, my 2nd visit was a nother 2 hr wait and when I met Dr Gaffney for the first time I was appalled to see that she was wearing FLIP FLOPS, and had a large tear in the crotch of her stretch pants, The triage nurse had a hard time trying to figure out how to work the scale. They forgot to call in my prescription but I had to come back the next week for my blood test results because they had to compare with my last blood test from my previous Dr. again, I left disgusted. the next week, my THIRD visit, I was waiting in the waiting room for an hour and in the exam room for another 30 minutes. Dr Chambers walked by me a couple times and look at my chart and was concerned as to why they have not gotten my vitals yet. Donan took me to do my vitals and brought me back to the room, the Dr came back in and made a very rude comment about my weight first stating my weight and saying ""You've been eatin' well, huh?"" and abruptly started squeezing my ankles and saying I need to cut down on my salt intake. He mentioned that my thyroid levels were abnormal and that's why I was there in the first place... why wouldn't they know why I was there?? Overall, I just think they are very disorganized and I think although their staff is friendly I think they are lacking in tact. It took a month for them to call in my prescription, and an additional 2 months for them to find out that my referral was denied from Tricare because instead of calling Tricare the day they told me they were referring me elsewhere they waited a month...AND they did it wrong, so I get a phone call the DAY BEFORE my appt. saying that it was denied and if I go I will be charged a $300 deductible plus whatever it is they charge...wonderful. So I called Tricare myself and set up the appt.. and I will tell you one thing.. IT WAS NOT HARD and it took less than 20 minutes to do so. So needless to say.. I do not plan on seeing Dr. Gaffney very much longer.

oh boy!

Well where do you start. this one is tough.. First and foremost, you have a Dr here that medically is a very bright, smart and talented individual. As for the disorganization and overall craziness that goes on daily.... well that is what will probably get to you. Dr Mary Gaffney IS a very bright individual that is probably better than most medically. As for everyone else in the office, they are slightly questionable to say the least. Many of the employees are rude to say the least. You can tell that they get their share of talented individuals most recently a young man that saw me and consulted me for my chronic pain. He like the Dr was very knowledgeable, just a tad more professional. As for many of the girls in the office, they will leave you sitting in a waiting room listening to those damn birds and a radio that could serve to be turned down and drag you back to the treatment area only to not know what is going on once you are back there. However if you can look past that know that if you are lucky enough to spend some time with Dr Gaffney you are fortunate and will see that your primary care dr is very very bright and concerned about your well-being.. So just hope for the best and pray that you show up on a good day. And to Dr Gaffney, just do yourself a few favors.
1. Put some closed toe shoes on. It will mean alot to the people that you are rendering care to.
2. Hire an exterminator. It is no shock. We have all seen the roaches kicking around and you as well as I know they shouldn't be there.
3. Try to put a smile on your face and seem like you care. Even though I know you do, everyone else on this forum doesn't think you do. Who knows, maybe you'll see an increase in your volume of patients.
LASTLY...... Hire some people that know what is going on. They aren't really that tough to find... Just look somewhere other than the unemployment line or the local CMA school. See you in a few weeks for my follow up!!!

my first impression was this office was old and the smell was musky. the front desk staff was OK. i waited in the waiting room for almost an hour and the music was so loud i could not hear myself think. after finally getting to the back and put in one of the room i waiting for another 30 minutes just to get my vitals. finally Dr. Gaffney entered the exam room in a very bad mood. i almost got up at that point and left. she was very rude and short with me. i didn't like her smell it was odd smelling like old fish. how can she be my health care provider when she doesn't even keep her own personal hygiene up to par . find other provider

This is all I can say, if you are looking to get taking care of and this is not the doctor office to go to. I am patient here for 8 months and thank god I can change my doctor immediately and finally never go to this clinic ever again. They are very unprofessional and unorganized. And when you need a prescription or any needs they forgets about it until your the one who will keep on calling them.

Stay Away

Wish I had read this before I took the job. After working for a month I inquired about pay and was avoided like the plaque. I was finally paid but asked to hold off on cashing the check. I waited a week then cashed it. Good thing I cashed it when I did because other workers checks were bouncing. A month later I demanded another check. It was a partial payment and the check bounced. Meanwhile, workers were resigning left and right and still, they were not given proper compensation. This time I asked for pay and they were looking for ways not to pay me or say that I didn't do that much work. This husband and wife team is so selfish. They have patients waiting for hours while they try to get tickets to the WhiteHouse Easter egg hunt. There are no sinks in the exam rooms and she goes from patient to patient without washing her hands. Equipment is expired. They have patients return unnessarily so they can bill. They live beyond their means to impress people then don't pay their bills or employees. The office is very disorganized and charts are mixed up. Too bad because if she did things properly instead of looking to get over on everyone this could be a good practice because she is a knowlegeable dr. but is too full of herself to care about patients.
