      "This Is The Original Sidestreets Delicatessen, Proudly Featuring Boar's Head Brand Meats, Cheeses, & Specialty Items. Voted LCN's 2019 Best Place For Lunch & Favorite Deli." Sidestreets Deli came about in 1986 when owner Dave McNamara tired of the corporate world, endless meetings, and wearing a tie. He left his position as Director of Deli Bakery Merchandising for A&P Supermarkets in New Orleans, LA. Prior to the position in New Orleans Dave spent six years in the New York marketing region holding several positions within the company allowing him to meet and learn from some of the best deli/ bakery minds in the business. Pat Hilley, Bob Mascioli, Tom Gandolphi and Glenn Fornoff. There are many others that contributed to his deli/bakery experience and this experience gave him the confidence to begin plans for his first deli in East Lansing, MI.
