When wife went to White Oak nursing home for 20 day rehab, she was awakened at night by a loud parrot squaking in one of the rooms, and fire alarms that went off all night long. Then someone either stole or threw her $200 glasses away, and they wouldn't pay for them. The bathroom fixtures were corroded. Calls to the nursing station often went unanswered. At one time she didn't get fed and had no medicine. There appeared to be no security agent at the facility. She decided to pass on the last 10 days of rehab due to her anxiety disorder. White Oak may have changed since she was there, if so, we hope it is for the better. It may be a good place to go to die, but I wouldn't want to live there.
