Here are the facts. JJ left me a voice message on July 1, telling me that my leather coat had been repaired. I didn't pick it up on time. I forgot about it. I waited until Oct. 8 to pick it up, when I went to put it on and remembered where it was. But he had sold my $400 coat. I guess that's fair; I left it there for 3 months. But he could've called me a second time reminding me to pick up this coat. I think that it's worth a second voice message before you sell someone's stuff. 3 months is a long time, but it's not insane (especially given that it took more than a month to repair in the first place). And that coat got me; it was the type of jacket that you wear when you want to feel great. That was my coat that I loved and he sold it without taking a moment to call me a second time. The worst part is that I originally tried to pick it up when the ticket said, but he had not gotten to it and told me to wait another couple of weeks. It was summer, I didn't need it, that was fine. But then he sold my coat and didn't give me the courtesy of a reminder call. I'm devastated.

Absolute amazing work, He's done several complicated jobs on antique military boots for me and each time he has done remarkable work. He currently is doing a set for me and i will be sure to review him again upon completion.

Do not ever go to JJ's to get ANYTHING done. All I wanted was an extra hole punched in the straps of my tango shoes, and they told me to come back in 2 weeks. When I came back on the date they told me, the shoes had NEVER been touched. They then told me to come back at the end of the day, and when I said that I could not, they told me to wait around for 30 minutes. I asked them to just give me the shoes since they could not do a 30 minute job in 2 weeks time, and they got angry at ME! They never once offered a discount or apologized and were exceptionally rude. Save yourself the frustration - DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

My husband and I took our shoes to JJ's for new sole and heels for him and new heels and a rip on mine. What we got back look like three new pair of shoes. Turnaround was fast and he called to tell us they got done early.

This place is a joke. DON'T GO HERE! (Go to Red Wing Shoes on Marketview or some other shoe repair place in town that will be happy to help you out). This place has no work ethic besides providing poor customer service, making customers wait for months for a job that he said would be done in a week (he won't call you to let you know if he's delayed, either, he'll just have you come in 3x to find that out and doesn't give a damn about it). The owner has a very sloppy, lazy attitude concerning the work customers give him and acts like he's doing everyone a favor.



In addition, when I was picking up shoes several weeks ago (I waited several months for them to be finished), another customer had come in on her lunch break to pick up shoes for a wedding she was attending that weekend. The owner had actually called her to say that they were finished--but she found out from the owner's wife (because he had left early) that they were not finished. These are the same sorts of experiences that I've had and I will NEVER go back. Best to take your money and time elsewhere. Frankly, I'm shocked this guy has any customers left.
