Don't go here; it's not a safe place to be!My main concern and complaint is about the many lies and over-medicating of my Dad. My Dad was a hospice patient and I asked if they could give liquid morphine under the tongue to keep him comfortable. They said yes. I found out that was a lie when my Dad's health deteriorated and he needed the medication. We were told by Analisa that because Dad was a hospice patient the laws and regulations prevent them from refunding a partial month if he dies or we move him. She specifically said that this was not her rule, it was the law. That was also a lie to get more money out of us.I was also told that because he was bed ridden he had to be in the more expensive room with the sliding glass door because the laws and regulations required him to have a separate exit in case of an emergency. This was another lie to get more money out of us. I was told my Dad was not eating any food, only sipping Ensure, and that he was not taking any more medications. They said he had no pain and was saying he wasn't hungry. He was very lethargic and often not responsive, even though they were not medicating him. When I would question the care givers at the facility about specific concerns they would act like they didn't understand English to avoid my questions. I would have to call Analisa on the phone to get any answers. We became suspicious of the treatment my Dad was receiving, so we moved him to another facility. After we moved him he immediately woke up and started eating and feeding himself. It was like he was a different person. He also said he had some pain. It was very obvious that they were medicating him and lying about it. I was able to confirm this when we looked through the medications after we moved him. They had refilled both pain meds and sleeping pills after they said they were not medicating him. I would recommend that no one ever put a loved one in this facility, or the other facility they own located at 68842 Risueno Road, Cathedral City, CA, 92234. As a healthcare worker it scares me to think of what goes on there when no one is watching.
