CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! This guy ANDY RYDER is a real piece of work. i recently purchased a SUPPOSEDLY ALL ORIGINAL ALL NUMBERS MATCHING 1969 camaro DZ 302 Z28, in which he claimed to be the original owner of. We had an agreement of most of the money when i picked up the car then id have a chance to thoroughly checkout the car make sure its what he said and pay him the balance by years end. Well it didnt take long to figure out the engine(which is THE KEY component in any NUMBERS MATCHING car, was NOT the original. Not only was it not the original but it wasnt even the correct date or casting number despite him telling me it was when i got the car. I confirmed the entire engine was not what he told me it was, and that the components in and on it were not what he claimed aswell. I furthurmore found out he had SERIOUSLY INCORRECTLY adjusted ALL of the valves/rocker arms or LASH, FAR, FAR TOO LOOSE which has inturn BEETEN ALL OF THE ROCKERS ARMS APART. This engine has metal in the oil, and the engine isnt even drivable without possibly inflicting further damage to to the damaged rocker arms. He claimed it also had a ".700" lift camshaft which after i got into the engine found out was nothing more than a stock .400 lift camshaft. his response for all these issues was, "wow, i could have sworn it was this or that"!! I then found rust in both front fenders, both of which he says wasnt there when he sold me the car 10 days prior!!! It must have miraculously rusted(a 10-20 year process done in 10 days time, AH HUH)since i took posession. He also told me every single body panel on the car had never been replaced or wrecked or cut on in any way. I later got it home and found that he had installed frame connectors in which by doing he HACKED a large 3" wide by 18-20" long hole threw EACH floorboard on EACH side of the car. i have basically found now that the intake manifold, engine block, carburator, cylinder heads, bellhousing, and even the oil pan were not what he told me they were and are all FAR FROM BEING the parts he told me they were. his listing stated these parts were all numbers matching and original, and so did the VERY precisely written out contract I WROTE OUT, stated that the car i was buying was to be an ALL ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING, """""AUTHENTIC"""""" 1969 DZ 302 z28 FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER, and although the rest of the components on the car appear to be correct, once any one of the main components, ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, or REAR DIFFERENTIAL are removed or in any way altered, that "magical" ALL ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING part is lost, and lost FOREVER. it can NEVER EVER be put back unless somehow the original engine is miraculously found. So after a couple days trying to make him understand and having numerous family and friends members listen to out speaker phone conversations when he admitted the engine was a 1970, and that the cam was wrong, the rockers were ruined, and offering only a price of 20 thousand, he then decided to say, "now i want ALL 27,500.00 and i dont remember anything about the engine being a 1970 now, or speaking to another possible byer before myself who apparently told him the engine was incorrect and denying everything now stating "give me all the money or we will go to court". He has spent thew money I gave him, he cannot pay me back without RESELLING MY CAR to someone else while i still own it. And yet this IDIOT thinks hes going to tell ME that were going to court!!!.
