The hotel is nice and clean. The area is beautiful. The grounds need a little work. But, if you are a biker, you will not be as welcomed as those traveling by Prius, mercedes, BMW and so on. As we were checking in and inquiring about dinner, it was sugested that "we" would do better at the cafe down the street. Later in the evening, we asked the bar servers if we could have our drinks on the pool patio so that one person in our party could smoke. We were told that we could go to the old patio behind the pool house to smoke. Later, We noticed an elderly gentelman smoking his cigar next to the pool and being served by the same person we asked. If you are a biker, stay in Carbondale, you will be welcomed there.

I have stayed several times at the Inn. I loved the setting. It was beautiful, tucked away in the most picturious mountain terrain. The food was better than a 5 stars. The sevice was wonderful. The rooms older but very clean and the house keeping staff were exceptional. While I was there, the Inn hosted a wedding. It's was the most professional and beautiful wedding I've ever seen. My daughter is getting married and my son next year. I will have them host our weddings. I will continue to come back.

Part two of a summer vacation get-a-way. This is a wonderful choice w/o kids; my first impression was this is a place for my grandparents to stay. Myself being only but nine and twenty years, it was not quite the vacation I was expecting. It turned out better! The main part of the building has kept a historic feel to it, I felt like I stepped back in time. The bar area overlooking the pool was nice, the dining room off the right of the bar had polished silver, each seat set for a ball or wedding. And the four course dinner that came out of that kitchen, was so good I wrote home about it that night. Ok-I facebooked it. Everything I ate at the inn did not disappoint even the biscuits and gravy w/ tomatoes. Yes, tomatoes! We don't do that were I'm from. The room was nice, well kept and spacious. Like the main entrance, the room had a historic feel to it. The pipes are old and getting a hot shower was difficult. I might come back for the rooms, but I will be back for your kitchen.
