Horrible experience 3 times. 3 strikes, your out. In my opinion, the food and service is horrible. I actually read the bad reviews on yelp, and other sites the first time, but I was quite skeptical, however, those bad reviews are actually true.

The first time I went to the buffet, the food was very dry and not flavorful. Also, the items were not replenished, and you have to point out to the waiters and waitresses this. Isn't that their job?

The second time we went here, last November, I figured I would give them another try, and I ordered a large take-out order of 4-5 dishes for a few people. It was the worst Indian food I have ever tasted in my life, and I should know what Asian Indian food should taste like, since I am from India. They did, however, supply like 7 lbs of rice with my order. I'm not sure if that's their way of trying to compensate real food. It does add substance to the weight of the bag though! I ordered chicken makhani. I think I had 3 pieces of small chicken in my dinner item entree. I'm really glad I had all that naan (that I made at home) and rice at home to fill up on! The curry on the chicken was mediocre. There was no type of seasoning, and it was very bland. I ordered chicken tandoori as well. I was asked how spicy I would like that. I told them medium. I got home, and it was so spicy, I coudn't even eat it. I guess because I am Asian-Indian, they made it "Indian hot", and yes, that is a spice level there.

We ordered malai kopta as well. Again, the food was very scarce for the dinner menu, and was filled with curry (sauce). I left the curry overnight in the fridge, and it coagulated overnight. Yes, that means it was filled with oil, and it was disgusting. I ordered a few other vegetable dishes, and they were borderline average. What a waste of money paying for dinner items, and getting filled off of my own naan which I made, and their rice, with oil laden flavorless food.

Now, for the 3rd and last visit. I figured I would give them one last chance. This was pretty much the tipping point. The service was horrible, and make for a horrible experience, along with their dried out, lack luster flavorless, and emptied buffet. We got there at 12:30 PM on a weekday. I immediately noticed half of the buffet was picked off by the vultures. So, I said to the waiter who was hanging around, pretending to be busy, to replenish an item on the buffet. He gives me a thumbs up, and goes in the back. 15 mins later, after standing in a line, I have some chicken makhani. I decided to, right after I sat down, get another piece of naan, and I was scolded loudly and embarrassingly by a waitress named Sumner that I needed to get another plate. My plate was actually clean, and I had not even taken a bite off of it. I don't go to a restaurant to be scolded, and ridiculed in front of other patrons. Again, the pakora, naan, etc were all dried up, and tasteless.

Well, after hearing her annoying voice throughout my meal, everyone gets the bill prematurely, as you are in the middle of your meal. I guess as a hint to get out of the restaurant, and that you have enough food, even though they cleverly, say "oh, no rush, but here's your bill". What a way to end a nice conversation and half way into your meal. 3/4 of the staff were quite rude and inconsiderate. One poor guy was doing all the work, filling water, and taking used dishes, I believe his name was Kumar. The rest...they literally have no manners, and were just chatting and hanging around.

So, in conclusion, the food and service was horrible, and I'll never be back.

Best Indian food in the area

My brother and I visit this place whenever we can. The food is prepared for all tastes (mild, medium, hot, and Indian hot). Indian hot is the best coupled with a Mango Lassi. The Naan bread was delicious too (available in regular, onion, garlic, or cheese). The service is great too. For those of you curious about this cuisine, this is a good place to start.

EhI

It was good, but not great.

The service was excellent. The servers were attentive and helpful. The food was alright. We got the Vegetable Assortment Platter to start. I liked most of the elements, my guest was not crazy about it. For our entrees, I got the Lamb Vindaloo, my guest got a meat platter thingy (don't remember the name). I wasn't crazy about the Vindaloo. The sauce just didn't quite cut it for me. My guest seemed to like her dish. The naan, however, AMAZING! Nice and buttery.
