      General Info
      Founded in 1866, Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology is one of the oldest museums in the world. The museum houses records of human cultural history in the Western Hemisphere. Based in Cambridge, Mass., it engages in anthropological discourse through exhibitions, workshops, symposia and publications. Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology offers teacher workshops, interactive programs for children, as well as classes and special events for families and public lectures. In addition, the museum enables students to undertakes research on its collections.
