She grew up appreciating the comforting feeling of a beautiful home bustling with activity. A natural artist, Toni attended Indiana University and graduated from Indiana State University receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minor in Fine Art. Once out of college Toni worked with several design firms and retailers. While working for Ethan Allen she was recognized nationally for her talent as the recipient of the Circle of Excellence Award. The Circle of Excellence is a prestigious award presented to the top twelve designers across the nation based on their interior design skills. In 1997, Toni left Ethan Allen to join her husband in their interior design business. While co-running her own design group she kept busy as an instructor at Moorpark College where she taught Basic Interior Design, Materials & Installation of Interior Architecture, Window Treatment Design, Faux Painting and Hand Painting on Silk. Over the years, she realized she needed more options in art for the home and she chose to create her own paintings both for herself and her clients. Toni’s paintings are unique in that they relate to the space and style of your home; she creates an affinity between the painting and the home interior that’s not found in all artwork. Her hope is that you will feel the same passion for her artwork that she does and that it will bring a sense of serenity and completion to your home. Toni specializes in custom design for new home construction with an emphasis in gourmet kitchen and high-end bath design. In my world, it’s not art for the sake of art, as much as art for the sake of your environment. It’s the focal point of a space; it’s a statement of your style. It defines your family’s collective persona or simply your persona. Through my years as a designer in Southern California, many clients have had the need to purchase art. Throughout frequent trips to the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood and seeing pieces in high-end showrooms, the struggle has always been finding the correct color palette. So, I would have them show me what sort of composition they were drawn to, what textures they wanted and I would proceed to create the painting in their color palette.
