General Info

TCAR opened its doors for business in a small Schenectady, New York office in November of 1959 under the name of Professional Adjustment Agency. It was in those early days that our founder, Edward F. Dunleavy, forged the future success of our company by making a commitment to excellence and building a reputation based on professionalism, ethics, and quality customer service. Now in its third generation of family ownership, TCAR has grown into a national force with 25 branch locations and has diversified into two separate divisions ; TCAR Recovery & Remarketing Services, and TCAR Collection Services. Our recovery division directly services all of New York State, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine and western Massachusetts, and our National Recovery Department has developed a strong network of professional recovery agents across the country and throughout the world, allowing us to recover collateral no matter where it is.

Don't trust the website. I just bought a van, the only issues listed were cosmetic issues. Driving it off the lot was a game of risk. If your conscious doesn't stop you from letting the clearly pregnant woman with her 13 month old - that's really pathetic. Thankfully my child didn't have to ride in the van with very bad breaks, no heat, power steering almost shot, and so much more. Even though the car was listed as excellent to good condition. Not so thankfully I'm now out 2 grand and my one shot at a car. Thanks for nothing.
