The Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell is a private, nonprofit, community-based agency that provides comprehensive care to terminally ill patients. The center also offers home health care services and counseling for children and adults. It is approved by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care. The center provides hospice care for patients in their homes, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Established in 1994, it offers 24-hour nursing care and physical and occupational therapies. The center employs chaplains who provide spiritual support and funeral services to the families of patients. It provides a variety of therapies, such as aromatherapy and healing touch, music and pet therapies. The center serves patients with emphysema, Alzheimer s disease, cancer and Parkinson s disease.
