  After graduation, Ms. Gullo worked at the law firm of Collins and Maxwell, where she worked with clients on Worker's Compensation matters and cases involving no-fault insurance claims. She later left there to take a position as a Senior Court Analyst and Executive Director of Housing Court for the City of Buffalo under the Hon. Henry J. Nowak, in Buffalo City Court. During her time there, she earned a reputation for her tireless dedication, intelligence and strong work ethic. While working for the Court, Ms. Gullo supervised the Receivership and the Funding calendars of the Court. Her duties also involved conducting pre-trial conferences on behalf of the Court and negotiating settlements between opposing parties. At Judge Nowak's request, she also drafted legislative proposals and researched and drafted court decisions. Her common sense approach and keen analytical mind made her invaluable at formulating and directing various court remedies and programs which were instituted to improve the functioning of Housing Court.

  At UB Law School, Ms. Gullo focused on course offerings she believed would provide her with practical experience helping people. As part of an Administrative Fair Hearing Practice Clinic, Ms. Gullo negotiated settlements and represented clients in Department of Social Services Administrative hearings. She presented her research and findings regarding refund anticipation loans to encourage legislative changes in income tax preparation and interned at Neighborhood Legal Services providing legal representation to the poor.

  The basic child support obligation to be paid by the non-custodial/non-residential parent is based upon a percentage of the combined parental income, less FICA.  For one child the amount is 17%, for two children 25%, for three children 29%, and for four children 31%. In addition to the basic child support obligation, the non-custodial, non-residential parent may have to pay for a portion health care expenses and of the child care expenses related to the other parent’s employment or employment related education.
