In short - wonderful job, Laine knows how to work with long hair, and is not afraid to take on a challenging client. Wow, just wow. One week after my appointment at Anew Studio and I still look in the mirror and see a younger me. As I've gotten older, my hair has darkened, from white blonde to a rather ashy brown. I've been thinking about blonde for a while, and started looking for local salons. Anew Studio was definitely the best choice. Laine fit me in the day after I called, and was nothing but friendly and extremely helpful. She also listened to what I wanted, and figured out how to make it happen. This was a CHALLENGE - I have long hair, to my mid-back, and just finding enough product to do the job was a worry at first. Laine is confident and comfortable with long hair - which is very unusual. Getting foils in quickly and securely takes skill. It was a long appointment, and I was very happy to be in the hands of someone with so much experience. The results are amazing - I see the color I had in high school. It really was a trip in a time machine! And my hair feels good, and is shiny and beautiful. I would highly recommend Anew Studio.

Normally not one to review, but I was so touched, impressed, and generally blown-away by one of the stylists at A New Studio (her name is Laine) that I felt compelled to share this treasure with others. While its true that Im not a gal and dont take advantage of the other amenities there like spa and massage, I can tell you that theres no one better youll find to take care of your hair. A true professional in every sense, Laine also has a keen eye for a creative suggestionbut listening is what she does best. She brings a dedicated heart to every patron, and this attitude shows in each facet of A New Studio since she is the proprietor as well. Cant say enough nice things about the placeits truly a gem.

I just love the ladies who work in the shop, and of course Laine. They are all down to earth, and you will feel very comfortable. Their not a snooty salon. EXCELLENT. I have been a client of Laine's for 10 by years plus. That alone should speak for it self. But,if you really want to pamper yourself and end with beautiful skin , she's the one to see. Another plus... everyone is friendly and helpful. The location ( near the library and Hannafords) is very accessible with ample off the street parking. I got a perm there and I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted, It looked okay when it was done, even though they were not the right curls, but it looked okay so I was okay with it. I washed my hair three days later, like she told me too, and it was barely curly. Pieces of my hair are extreamly straight still and it doesn't look good at all. Not recommended for perms.

I've known the owner of the salon for 20+ years as she was working for others in the area. I'm so happy she's finally got her own place. She's an excellant beautician with a real flare for fashion. She's also a fabulous Esthetician (Skin Care Professional) with years of experience. Give the microdermabrasion a try!
