Diaspora Community Services is a social service agency that provides a range of support services for individuals and families. It offers various health promotion, advocacy, crisis intervention, counseling, education and translation services. The agency provides case management assistance in the areas of medical care, treatment, housing, nutrition and immigration for individuals with HIV/AIDS. Diaspora Community Services administers the Women s Empowerment Program, which includes food stamp and health insurance services and informative workshops. It offers the Haitian American Empowerment Program, which features educational, information, referral and medical assistance services for the Haitian community.
