I was a bit apprehensive about learning to drive a manual transmission but had always wanted to do it. I decided lessons were the best route. The Brooklyn Driving School is excellent. I took 3 lessons and got the hang of it from there. My instructor Alex was relaxed, patient, and very informative. I recommend the Brooklyn Driving School and highly recommend Alex to learn how to drive a stick shift!
Happier at Brooklyn Driving School I took motorcycle lessons at both Brooklyn Driving School (BDS) and MSS (Mott Haven, BX). My experience was by far a better one at BDS. At MSS I felt I was I was being rushed through exercises and advanced too quickly beyond my capabilities. This led me to make more mistakes and lose confidence quickly. After working with them through a few lessons, I knew I had to leave. By the time I got to BDS, I was a nervous wreck. My instructor there recognized my skill level and coached me from there. All the while I was on the street instead of a parking lot. It is without a doubt a better experience and smarter choice for a beginner to learn on the street. Hands down!Further, the instructors at BDS made me feel comfortable and safe. I not only benefited from the lessons but from their kindness and genuine concern for my well-being.
The team of Brooklyn Driving School is the most helpful and pleasant there is! They helped me overcome my anxieties and turned me into a very capable motorcycle rider. Van and Alex are great instructors and the team as a whole is very welcoming and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend their services to anyone who is looking to learn how to be a smart and safe rider/driver. Feryel K.
I went to Brooklyn Driving School to take my motorcycle road test, after riding on and off for over 20 years. A week before my road test, my instructor, Phil gave me a lesson, where he explained everything that would be on the test. On the day of my test, January 6th, we meet at the driving school, where Phil took us out for a warm up lesson and then we headed over to Red Hook. It was a cold day, but it was well worth it, I got my motorcycle license. Thank you Brooklyn Driving School, you guys are the best!!!! MS
AAA+I'm a 42 year old Mother & Grandmother. I took my motorcycle written (permit) test on May 31, 2007. That was also the first day for my motorcycle lesson.I've bee back once a week since. I travel from the north Bronx (1/2 mile from Yonkers) for my weekly classes. Mike is a wonderful and patient instructor. And after 5 lessons he's got me scheduled for my road test. The lessons are wonderful, you go at your pace, but YOU'RE NOT BABIED!!!If you're ready to learn and you're serious about learning, this is the place to be. You learn on the street with traffic and obstacles not in a empty parking lot.All you need with you is your permit, long pants and boots. Everything else is supplied.Mike, thank you for helping me fulfil my life long dream.
I had driving lesson on 05/27/007. Amazing teacher(Lucy) and they told me I just need two lessons. Honest and straight. Plus amazing driving lesson. I just went from around 30% confidence to 85-90% on one driving lesson. ( Of Course I had been practising on my own as well). They taught me to use things I knew in more positive way, so improvement came very fast. Small details that we neglect or i thought I was proficient at were sometime wrong. You can't beat the price as well. I went to get 5 hours pre_licencing course from another place; very unhelful and unprofessional people. I wish I had taken classes at Brooklyn Driving School.
I took motorcycle lessons with Phil last summer and it was an AWESOME experience!!!! I took eight lessons and was completely ready for the road test. Last spring I had paid for that Safety foundation group class bolony. Giant waste of time and money. I didn't learn half the stuff that I learned with Phil. Very organized, professional, and thorough. I already recommended my friends to Phil. YOU ROCK!!
