I talked to a floral associate over the phone who was so kind, who also suggested that (instead of buying a new vase) I bring a vase--or two--in which the two dozen flowers I ordered would be arranged once I got there the following day. When I returned the next day with my vases (ten minutes early for my previously-discussed arrival time), I was met with disparaging, entirely dismissive women behind the counter who had "no time" to do such arranging, and certainly were not going to accommodate the agreed upon price for my order. So, after bringing home the uncut flowers in a pail, I arranged them myself. Sadly, as I worked, I noticed how the leaves on the stems--carnations, no less!--were already dried brown and some bloom heads were already hanging. This is so unacceptable, lacking in both quality AND service, that I will NEVER give my business to nor my recommendation for this floral shop. I thought I'd give them some support since they're downtown; I'll never ever bother again.
