      General Info
      Established in 1851, The Children's Village is a charitable institution that offers medical, educational and family support services for at-risk children. It serves more than 2,000 youths, over 3,700 family members and handles nearly 500 help line calls annually. The Children's Village is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and meets the standards of the Better Business Bureau for Charities Accountability. It is also licensed as a residential treatment center and group home by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. The institution maintains residential school and treatment facilities to meet the educational, psychiatric evaluation and transitional housing services. Additionally, it provides scholarship, mentoring, fundraising and community-based programs. The Children's Village maintains a location in the Bronx, N.Y.
