General Info
Current owner Robert D. Wroble established LaBaron Hairdressing Academies, a small Cosmetology Arts & Science Chain, in 1959. Mr. Wroble's mission was to share his experience of owning and managing a successful salon chain, to individuals interested in the beauty profession. In 1973 Lois M. Wroble left the field of public education and joined with her husband Robert to help run the growing school chain. Ms. Wroble graduated from MA University, Lowell, with a Bachelor of Science in Education. As Chief Administration Officer, she continues to lead the school with her love for teaching and expertise in education and strives to serve students by continually providing a progressive first-rate curriculum, which develops highly trained and skilled Beauty Professionals who will make meaningful contributions to their communities. Lesia Wroble Cochran, after graduating from Stephens College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and experience in management responsibilities, joined the family business as Director of the Overland Park Kansas School. Ms. Cochran is overseer of financial aid in all four schools. The Wrobles operate three schools in Massachusetts, two schools named LaBaron Hairdressing Academy, and one named Kay Harvey Hairdressing Academy. Plus the one LaBaron Hairdressing Academy school in Kansas. LaBaron offers a Professional Institution with family atmosphere and caring, professional teamwork, where Superior Education is a priority. Each School has trained staff to help you find the best way to finance your education. All schools have been approved to award Governmental Grants, SEOG Grants, and Direct Loans (Subsidized, Unsubsidized and Plus), if you qualify. There are also payment plans to meet the needs of most incomes. More about financial aid under Programs.
