Valley Institute Elementary School, established in 1909, is a learning center that is a part of Washington County Public Schools. The school serves students in kindergarten through grade five. It provides general academic and accelerated reader programs. The school also offers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program. It conducts classes in art, music and physical education. Valley Institute Elementary School offers speech and language therapies for students with special needs. The school operates a parent-teacher association that supports academic and enrichment programs.
