Purchased 07 camry 6-2-07. called det serv dept 6-4 complaints of hesitation/downshifting problem. det told me drive for a week so car can learn driving habits. i did.Called again on 6-11 with no change in cars problem, this time, told no fix at this time not to worry because like the v6 camry pulled all off lot for trans problems. when and if toyota has a fix they would let me know.With being told no fix at this time, I traded camry back for my old car.I owned camry 10days and lost 5000.00 cash down and owe 2000.00 more on trade.I wanted to know why I lost so much $,I called det several times and months later kevin kelly called me back.I asked why I lost so much $ for trading back , when they had no fix for the hes/dwnsftng problem.kevin told me he is not aware of any problem.I told him I talked with toyota and they told me of prob and are working on it.kevin told me toyota would not say that. and he did not hold a gun to my head to buy it or trade it back in. nice cust serv.

I purchased a 2007 camry on a saturday, by monday I noticed the transmission downshifting while trying to pick up speed, and a bad hesatation problem. so i called DET service dept. told them of problems and was told to drive car for atleast one week so car can learn driving habbits. So dumb me fell for it. on the 11th day couldnt stand car any more! I called det service dept again and told them of problems again and was told "at this time toyota is saying all complaints are normal at this time" but not to worry because like the v6 camrys, they had to pull all of them off lot for transmission problems, so when and if toyota comes up with fix they will let me know. well i didnt wait, transfered to saled dept told salesman who sold us car of problems, he offered me to come in and drive another 07 camry I said no thanks but will come in and buy car back I traded 11 days ago. so I did, lost 7000.00. at end of deal. went home, GOOGLED 07 camry transmission problems. explains all.BAD DEAL !!
