I had great care here from "Dr. Mo," who helped me me get over a serious throat infection a few years ago. I went back last week, however, and the result was not so good. I had been up all night with severe cramps and diarrhea the night before, and knew I needed professional care. Dr. Mo was off duty, so I saw another caretaker, who diagnosed me correctly with diverticulitis, sent me to an imaging clinic that confirmed it, and gave me prescription for Cipro and a second antibiotic. So far so good. But this is where my treatment took a nosedive. When I asked about diet, she gave very little information beyond "drink a lot of water." I found out the hard way that diet is a huge concern with my condition. For example, drinking a diet Coke sent me into another round of severe cramps. I found out on the Internet (after a lot of searching) that the acidic nature of Coke is an issue with my condition and other foods I thought would be OK, were not. Although the Vandy clinic had a list of meds I was taking, I had to find out myself on the Internet that the antibiotic Cipro is not compatible with my cholesterol medication, Atorvastatin. After I called the clinic for dietary help, a somewhat surly nurse gave me the rapid-fire info I originally needed. My conclusion is, if Dr. Mo is on duty, this clinic is a good choice. If not, you are taking a chance.

My daughter left work going to the Brentwood clinic with breathing problems and a soar throat. She was the next person to go in to see the doctor. The doctor came in and gave her a breathing treatment telling her she would be back as soon as the treatment was done to check her again. (Breathing treatment takes no more than ten minutes) My daughter called me saying she was still in the exam room an hour and a half after the treatment and had not seen the doctor yet. I told her to go to the nurses station and ask if they forgot about her. The nurse said, are you still here and sent another nurse to get the doctor saying they forgot about her in the exam room. The doctor came over to the nursing station saying she was so sorry she forgot about my daughter. My daughter said she just wanted to go home as she felt worse than when she came in at 11:00pm. She left at 2:00pm. The waiting area was empty as it was when she came in. How do you forget a patient much less for an hour and what does that say for the entire medical staff. There is no excuse for their ineptness. My daughter will be seeing her family doctor in the morning.
