Founded in 1966, Rescue is a nonprofit organization that provides rural emergency care services. The organization serves more than 10 communities in southern Vermont and New Hampshire. It offers risk and emergency health care and transportation services. Rescue provides paramedical care services and maintains a fleet of paramedic ambulances. The organization specializes in injury prevention and community-based training services. It provides life support and medication administration services. Rescue offers treatment services for cardiac arrest, strokes, chest pain, trauma and seizures. The organization provides health care classes to individuals and groups through its training center. In addition, it operates with a staff of paramedic technicians, volunteers and emergency medical care professionals.
